Vestel, which produces the screens for the domestic automobile Togg, is bringing its experience to the aviation sector. In the coming days, Vestel will announce an agreement with one of the world’s largest airline companies for the production of in-flight displays. Vestel aims to expand its market in this field by producing in-flight displays for the world’s leading airline companies.
Vestel participated in the IAA Transportation fair in Hannover, Germany, with its software, display, and charging solutions for the mobility sector.
Vestel CEO Ergün Güler, who met with a group of journalists at the fair, drew attention to the paradigm shift in the mobility market and explained Vestel’s growth targets by saying, “To increase the market value of Vestel Mobility to over a billion dollars in the next three years.”
Noting that Vestel has been in the field of consumer electronics for 40 years, exports to global markets and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of display technologies, Güler said, “Togg has been a very good reference. Our users see the screens produced by Vestel while watching TV at home or traveling in their vehicles. We can also say that Vestel is now ‘in the air’; it has entered the aviation industry, and within a year, the screen of the airplane you board will also be produced by Vestel. We made an agreement with one of the world’s largest airline companies. We will be announcing this in the coming weeks. I am not naming the company; we have made an agreement with an airline that flies to the most destinations in the world, and our engineers and workers will produce the screens for their fleet of 300 aircraft. We will not only be limited to this, but we will also be expanding our market with other airline companies in the world after that reference.”
Güler also stated that Vestel has reached an agreement with an international brand to produce motherboards for electric vehicles, which it will announce after the fair.
